The Rotters' Club is one of my favourite books--or anything by Jonathan Coe. I had to scour the internet for ages to find the BBC adaptation over the course of a couple years (finally did and it is great).

Ah yes, Coe has certainly written some fine novels. I missed The Rotters Club on TV when it aired and like you spent a couple of years searching for it. Finally got a German DVD edition. Only downside is remembering to switch off the subtitles every time :)
