I followed your instruction and didn't watch the video.

Not sure about the next step, though - I don't think I fancy listening to Manic Street Preachers.

I'm not entirely sure you are the target audience for this anyway Joe. Personally I think it's the finest Pop song I have heard in a long time. Well, this week at the very least...

joe

I wouldn't know. I didn't watch. I was following orders!

But if it actually sounds like MSP, that would be a problem. Gee, I didn't know you liked them. Mind you, I did listen to their homecoming concert in Wales on Radio 2 the other week. It was just the sense of occasion that drew me in.

Otherwise, from your list, we can naturally agree on Blondie's importance and I have always liked 'I would fix you' a good deal.

My sherbert fountain didn't explode when I disobeyed and watched the vid...but it very nearly did when I listened to your latest mix- very tasty! (yeah - it's a great vid/song!)

If you think this is good....check out the other songs on facebook and myspace. Just the kick up the bum that the UK music scene needs right now! :-)

Adam

This is probably the most pretentious thing I have read this year.

Just 'probably'? Still, it's only February, so plenty of time to write something even more pretentious. I'm always up for a challenge.

When will this be out on vinyl release? Sounds so awesome like Shampoo era!!!

joe

Yes, there is plenty of time to raise the pretension quotient - you can do it.

Reading this again - "Pop like Pris makes me want to explode in a sherbert fountain of ecstatic despair" - it reminded me of vintage Chris Roberts.
