Nice to see the UK music industry catching up with Black Moth Super Rainbow at last. Memphis Industries release Eating Us on June 8th, preceded by ‘Born On A Day The Sun Didn’t Shine’ as a 7” and free download on May 18th. If you don’t really fancy waiting (and why would you?) you can snag that download here right now.
Black Moth Super Rainbow are one of those groups I’m always delighted to hear. I’ve been a sucker for their quirky take on electronic psychedlia ever since I got a copy of their The Autumn Kaleidoscope Got Changed album in the mail one November morning in 2001. That was when they were still called satanstompingcaterpillars of course, and I wrote about that record here.
What I had completely forgotten about though was that in January the following year we published this interview with the caterpillars on Tangents. I just re-read it. Thoroughly entertaining.
