I must have said this before some time, but Copplestone is quite a good name for cycling, isn't it? Is it Devon's equivalent to Geraarsbergen?

Well, I know we've mentioned several times in the past how you could create a really great one day race around the Devon roads. Particularly on the roads around and over the moors. Copplestone hill isn't so bad, more of a long drag than anything I suppose. That whole road out towards Oakhampton is undulating all the way. It's quite draining. I had the 'grade' function on my bike computer running yesterday, and there was a lot of 6, 7 and 8% drags. So nothing like the 12% average of, say, the Koppenberg! And no cobbles, either :)
