Hearing Sound Having Fun

Pop! At last! A post about Pop Music! I can almost feel the relief flowing over the Interweb. Or not. Well whatever, before I bounded off to London I managed to finally record my Laugh vinyl onto disk, hence the reason they are tip top of my weekly Last FM chart. Now I’ve had a fair few people asking about how they could hear some Laugh material, and with the continuing paucity of digital content (i.e. no bugger has seen sense and reissued their fabulous catalogue) I thought I would share what I have with you fine people. Here is the Sensation Number One album, whilst here are some singles tracks. I spoil you, I really do.

How cool is that ! I've only managed to buy the "Time To Lose It" and "Sensation No1" 12". Finally I can hear the Lp and the first single. THANKS !!!

What you are doing is ruining the chances of this ever getting a proper cd release with bonus tracks. If you were LTM or someone that was going to release this would you really like the whole thing available for free? It is one thing to put up a few tracks of an artist, but I really think this will hurt the chances of a reissue in the end. Oh well. Excuse my English.

I understand the concerns about putting the whole album up here, but I just don't agree. Same as I never agreed with the whole 'home taping is killing music' thing. If there was a CD reissue of the Laugh material, I'd be one of the first in line to buy a copy, and I suspect that the vast majority of those who download this would think the same, even if only because then they wouldn't have the compressed audio of MP3 and crackly recording-off-vinyl quality to contend with. If you really like something, chances are you will buy it. If you don't, you won't. Of course if the artists themselves asked me to cease and desist then that's another matter.
