aah, 1,000 violins!

If a big label not run out of a geek lair in Devon ever releases an l.p. by me I'll make sure you are at the top of the list for a copy.

The sad fact is that they, the record labels, even the bands themselves, might not remember you for what you've done. The unbelievable truth is that you put out that record cause you saw the talent and you felt that pure pop moment. You had to put those records out because there was 3 minutes of perfection in an otherwise imperfect world and it had to be heard. You even went so far as to give me a record when the barrel was empty and shared moment with me and 498 others. I won't forget that nor the excitement getting that cardboard sleeve in the mail and rushing to the record player. Who cares about a dime a dozen LP?

it's very heartening to have comments like these, and the emails that people have sent saying pretty much the same as Lincoln. As it happens, i DO care about the bands' albums cos i'm sure they will be spectacular collections of Pop genius, but yeah... there is something so special about the Pop Thrill of a perfect 7" single that cannot be denied. Then again, maybe we are just freaks and/or geeks :-)
