That fair brought a tear to my eye, and I don't even know them! But that feeling of pride (no matter how peripheral you *think* you may have been to their development) must be pretty amazing.

So are 'prom nights' a UK thing now too, or is it just your school? I'm just glad i didn't have them when I was their age!!

I think more and more schools are having Prom affairs now. Maybe it's a symptom of the creeping Americanisation of our culture, or maybe it's just 'the kids' wanting to have some special event to mark the end of their school days. Who knows. And yeah, I'm so glad we didn'd have a Prom when I was at school... not that I'd have gone of course, but heh.

at my school prom I dressed up in a tiara and wedding dress with fake blood on my heart and drank so much tequila I ended up having a screaming fit in the street. The police were called and everything. They thought I wasbleeding to death. it was an absolute nightmare and possibly one of the worst experiences of my life!

i posted this in the
wrong bit.it was meant to be here.
