I should point out too that the rest of the Relationships’ Space set from earlier in the year is equally worthy of your time, particularly if the thought of a Pop sound rooted in that lush Laurel Canyon world of soft psychedelic magic appeals. And why wouldn’t it? Not that The Relationships come over as some troupe of soggy bearded young hipsters with sappy predilections for noodly hippie nonsense, though. No siree! For The Relationships root their sounds as much in the Bubblegum, Power Pop and Punk traditions as in those of the soft focused California sunkissed daydream believers.
