In stark contrast to the atrocious conditions for yesterday's Tour Of Lombardy ("the race of the falling leaves") the weather here in Devon has been glorious. Chilled air but with a warming sun in clear blue skies greeted me as I rode on my own little tour of the place of fallen leaves (over to the Trenchford reservoir and then into the Teign valley and Trusham - the reference of the leaves as I am sure you will all recall is to Tim Pears' glorious novel). The photo is of the thatched roof of the village bus stop, which is beside the red telephone box and opposite the alms houses.
