More Flowers

And speaking of songs called ‘Flowers’… the latest instalment of Dan’s ‘Backed With’ series uses the flip side to the legendary ‘Hip Hip’ single to look back on the mighty, mythic Hurrah! It’s a tremendous piece that pulls together various threads and set’s the story within the context of the times whilst also asking very pertinent questions about how certain arguments of the time appear now, with two decades and more stretching out behind us. It certainly makes me want to go and dig out those old Hurrah! records and appeal for someone out there to do some renewed salvage operations on the catalogue.
