On My Radio
Or on your radio, even. Two shows coming up. First off is the first ‘This Is Pop?’ show for Exeter community radio station Phonic FM. I guess this is an off-shoot of Exeter Goes Pop! with the studios being housed in the basement of the Phoenix. I’ve got a whole two hours to fill between 4 and 6 this afternoon and I can’t decide if I am nervous or just excited. Probably a bit of both. You can listen in on-line here, or on a real radio at 106.8FM if you are in the Exeter area. Expect some great tunage and not a little aimless wittering about music and comics and books and films and cycling. So a bit like this blog, then.
I expect there will be a small amount of crossover with what I’ll be talking about on Leigh’s Tape Relay show, which broadcasts on Tuesday. As ever, you can tune in live in the Interweb here, and an MP3 archive will no doubt find its way to this page sometime shortly thereafter. Leigh and I had a long and entertaining (I think!) conversation last Sunday, so I think there will have been some judicious editing. Expect me to be talking about Wolfhounds, Felt and Strawberry Switchblade at least.
I guess many people in Exeter will be somewhere else during 4 and 6 this afternoon... (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/7393784.stm) I might try and tune in though. If I don't forget.
Will this be a weekly thing?

Ah, I would be lying if I said I had forgotten about that... more like I hadn't really paid any attention :) I guess I should mention it if I remember... wish them well and all that. Try and get into the local community spirit.
Hopefully the radio show will be once a month. We'll see how it goes...

I don't suppose there is a large MP3 of the Sunday show? I'd like to hear you aimlessly wittering on about music and comics and books and films and cycling.

Sadly no, I don't have any such recording. I will, however, endeavour to record the stream on my Mac on future events.
