Charming

I remember writing a little while about enjoying the Positions album on Yes Boy Ice Cream. Well, what I didn’t know then was that Nicole Stoops, the voice in the Positions was also in Charming, whose new Turn Down The Lights set has been playing here a fair bit recently. Described by lead songwriter Ravi Krishnaswami as ‘indie-pop-soul’, Turn Down The Lights is a delicious confection that shimmers with the glow of hipster loft parties. Fans of Velocity Girl and Lucky Soul should snap it up pronto.

I've tried to like the new Charming, I even tried very much, but so far I have failed. And I do like both Lucky Soul and Velocity Girl. Might have to give it another try then.
