Feeling somewhat shell-shocked. Can’t quite believe that the school year is over and that the days are all my own for the foreseeable future. As last days of term go, today was pretty relaxed, and the marathon staff gathering after school (there were around 10 or so people leaving – several retiring after long and illustrious careers) really rather pleasant. It’s getting more and more difficult to hide from the fact that I am one of the more senior members of staff now, at least in terms of length of years served at Tivvy… time passes by so fast. Some nice end of term pressies, which ranged from the obligatory bottle of wine (C is always delighted when this happens, as it means she can indulge at someone else’s expense) to a set of Barbie dress-up magnets, courtesy of a couple of Year 11’s. The Barbie magnets will be gracing the Geek Lair filing cabinet before the end of the weekend I expect.
And speaking of ‘by the end of the weekend’, I really must get my finger out and get the latest batch of Tangents articles up onsite. Actually I really must get my finger out on a lot of fronts, but ah… perhaps a few days off EVERYthing are in order first? We shall see.
